The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research-Crop Research Institute (CSIR-CRI) sourced financial assistance from the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), to expand the irrigation facilities on the research fields with the main aim of ensuring continued irrigation of research trial fields all–year round.
