The aim of the study was to examine the roles of both male and female farmers in the agricultural sector and how the interact to perform these role. The fieldwork researched two communities in two districts of northern region, Ghana. Data was also collected from agricultural development agencies: Savanna Agricultural Research Institute (SARI), the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA) and World Vision Ghana (WVG). -

Pollution of heavy metals in industrial, residential areas and cities has become a public health issue in Ghana. Studies were conducted at Suame Industrial Area to investigate the degree of the pollution as a result of human activities at various artisan shops.
